New Possibilities

So earlier this week, I had the opportunity to talk with a church friend we’ve known for in passing but never got to truly sit down and talk. She works for a company in University Park, Illinois, named Applied Systems. She offered that if I e-mailed her my resume she would personally hand it in. She also said that it shouldn’t be hard for me to get a job in IT with desktop support there. Once my resume was handing in, she said someone should contact me to set up a time for me to complete my assessment quiz. The one thing I like about this quiz is I can answer the questions I know and skip the ones I don’t because I’m graded only on the ones I answer. She said one employee got hired, was surprised because he only completed maybe half the quiz sheet.

On a different note; I can’t wait for July and September to come around. In July, we’re taking an annual trip to Tennessee to my grandparents Farm House/Vacation Home sitting upon 33 acres. (Correction, 19 acres.) We will be gone from July 1st to the 6th. Then in September, my family will be taking a trip to Florida for my parents 25th anniversary and my grandparents 50th. We are planning a huge celebration at a hotel convention hall. My family jokes that if I got married this year then it would be 25th, 50th, and 75th anniversaries in 25 years.

I’m also getting closer to going to Japan. I wrote a nice letter to YWAM asking to schedule a short-term trip to Japan. I also talked with an old friend at church on Sunday, named Luke Bushes and he showed interest in joining me. If I could do this by next year, I’d be really excited.
