Updates 2.1
So what can I say in this post? Not very much has happened since my last post. I’m however feeling lucky if that’s even a thing. In the last week, I have filled out 4 application and sent many e-mails to Craigslist postings seeking IT staff. So I’m praying I get a response. I’m in desperate need of a new job or I’m going to go crazy.
But on a liter note, I tried drawing and I found I’m much more talented than I give myself credit. I’ve always been the creative type but I always thought I was more the computer creative, not the hands-on type. But it comes as no surprise as my mom is an artist, she can be very creative.
This is not the only thing I’ve ever drawn. I know it could be better, but it’s still not bad. Oh, I can’t forget. Copyright 2009 Joel Greene. All Rights Reserved. lolz.
So I finally worked another day at Blockbuster, they apparently called me in to do inventory and I worked 7 PM to 7:20 AM. Yep, you heard me right. 12 hours and 20 minutes, that means I also got overtime. I guess this store likes to do its inventories in one large sweep instead of two nights. Also, I bet I was called because no one who actually works in that store wanted to do inventory. Such lazy workers. People want to know why employers treat them so bad, it’s because of crap like this. Funny thing is at 4 AM to 7 AM we went from having 500 movies strangely missing to only 160 missing. That’s honestly crazy, even to have 160 missing. I guess theft in this store is worst than Hazel Crest or the employee are worst, that’s always possible. We also had 6 people working inventory, which again is the same, if not more than Hazel Crest. We each scanned around 1,400 to 1,700 items at about 25 per minute. That excludes the manager and woman from the scanning department.
So I had yet another conversation with Jeremiah about the Girl360 project and sadly he said the project was being put off for some time.
For those who didn’t know, my Dad works for the Dunkin’ Donuts Distribution Center and did an opening order for a new store yesterday. He got the chance to talk to the owner and asked if he was looking for someone to install a surveillance system. He said he had already found someone but is opening several other stores and that we can have those other stores. He claims to also know many other people in need of complete systems. From the sound of it, he dosesn’t sound happy with his current guy. So I’m excited to see where this goes.
On a last note, my family is taking a short trip to the Creation Museum sometime in the next couple weeks. Then around July 4th, we might be doing a Tennessee trip once again. I’m really excited for both those things.
