? Happy Birthday to Me! Happy Birthday to Me! ? So it’s my birthday today and it’s quickly passing. Yep, I was born 22 years ago at 6:30 PM.

And I’m also only 14 more closes from our Store Closing. The last day to rent in my store is January 4th 2009 and then we are officially closed to the publish on January 11th 2009. I’m trying to offer to stay as long as I possibly can to help pack but I’m not sure if that will happen. I’m trying to see if I can buy something things off our store, like the four TV and brackets we play DVDs on, plus I’d like to buy the old wood floor at the front. Lastly, I’m interested in a few old movie titles that are completely our of print.

As I recall from another sermon our pastor gave a few Sundays ago, if you don’t change, you will be forced to for the good or the bad. And for the longest time I’ve known that I needed to get a new job and simply didn’t. So I’m being forced to change that. And it’s like GOD is punishing me, it’s just a forced change.

So here comes that change. I’ve been looking for a new job because I don’t want to be transferred to a new store. I have the feeling that I or someone got thrown into another batch of employees, it’s likely to cause trouble. It happened at Radioshack and would likely happen at Blockbuster. I have however, gotten a few leads for employment elsewhere. One guy at my church is the training manager for UPS and was going to ask someone in his warehouse I could get a job there. But I was just informed today, that they are hiring. However, I met a customer at Blockbuster who told me AT&T is looking for 800 new U-verse techs this this year. Course it’s strange he said they were also laying off 1,200 people in other various departments. At the moment their installers are working 10+ hours a day, 6 days a week at $17 per hour. Also the average customer wait right now for installation is 90 days and that’s unbelievable. They are however union but I can live with that. If I could work there and the information he gave was true, I would be making around $1020 per week, PER WEEK! That’s 2-4 times what I’m making now. With that, I could finally buy a new car and save up for my trip to Japan. He said to call him today between noon and 4 PM, which I already did and got a message stating he would be out of the office until January 2nd. So I guess I’ll have to try back then. Please everyone, pray I will get this job. I think this is the job I really want!
